TaxReceiptScan Privacy Policy

TaxReceiptScan is a receipt organizer for personal and sole-proprietor expense records. OCR processing runs on your device. The developer does not operate a receipt-processing server and does not receive your receipt images, OCR text, amounts, categories, or notes.

Data Stored On Your Device

The app stores receipt metadata, OCR text, categories, notes, and optional receipt images locally on your device. You can edit or delete receipt records in the app.

Optional Sync

If iCloud sync is enabled, receipt data syncs through your own iCloud account using Apple infrastructure. The developer does not receive receipt images or receipt data through this sync. Image sync may be disabled so only metadata is synchronized.

Future Android support may use Google Drive appDataFolder if the user enables it.

Exports and Sharing

CSV, PDF, and image ZIP files are generated locally and shared only when you choose to export or share them through system features such as Files, AirDrop, or the share sheet.

No Ads or Tracking

TaxReceiptScan does not include third-party advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or developer-operated analytics for receipt data.
