MathPencil Support

Help for the math-focused handwriting notebook for iPad and read-only browsing on iPhone.

Recommended device

MathPencil is designed for iPad with Apple Pencil. iPhone support is intentionally read-only so notebooks can be reviewed and exported without editing controls on a small screen.

Apple Pencil and drawing

• Use an iPad that supports Apple Pencil for the best handwriting experience.
• If finger drawing is disabled, use Apple Pencil for strokes or enable finger drawing in app settings.
• For compact formulas, start with the fine-line pen preset.

PDF import and export

• Import PDFs from the Files app.
• Annotations, handwriting, and placed math symbols can be exported as flattened PDF or PNG output.
• If a file cannot be opened, confirm that it is a standard PDF and is available locally or through iCloud Drive.

iCloud sync

MathPencil uses the user’s private iCloud database for notebook sync. If sync does not appear immediately, confirm that iCloud Drive is enabled for the Apple ID on each device and that the device has network access.

Privacy

MathPencil has no ads, no third-party tracking, no analytics SDK, and no developer-server upload. Notes stay on device or in the user’s own iCloud Private Database.

App Store purchases

For purchase, refund, billing, and family sharing questions, use Apple App Store purchase support for the Apple ID used to buy the app.
