What we do not do
The app does not use:
- Advertisements or ad networks
- Analytics SDKs
- Third-party tracking SDKs
- A developer-operated server for user records
The developer does not sell user data and does not receive user stress records through any developer-operated server.
How user records are stored
iOS
Stress records are stored on the device using SwiftData. When iCloud is available, records are also stored in the user’s own private iCloud database through CloudKit. Only the user has access to that iCloud data through their Apple ID.
Android
Stress records are stored on the device using Room. If the user enables Google Drive sync, records are saved into the user’s own Google Drive appDataFolder, which is only accessible to the Stress Log app on devices signed in with the same Google account. Android Auto Backup may also help restore app data according to the user’s device settings.
Permissions
- Notifications: used only for the optional daily reminder.
- Internet (Android): used only when the user enables Google Drive sync.
User control over data
- The user can delete all local records and Google Drive sync data from Settings.
- iCloud data can be removed by the user through their Apple ID account settings.
- Google Drive sync can be turned off, and the appDataFolder content can be deleted from Settings.
Children
The app is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
